At the Opening of the Atanas Burov Monument in December 2011

Tzvetan Vassilev: "It was an honor for me to accept the invitation to provide the money for the monument to this deserving Bulgarian, all the more so since I have long been part of his vocation, as part of which I have the pleasure of occupying his office. I did it with pleasure and with all my heart. At long last, one of the foremost of Bulgarian public figures, thinkers, and bankers from before the Second World War gets due recognition by the Bulgarian nation. I believe that, having borne men like Burov in the past, Bulgaria shall continue bearing his worthy successors. The Bulgarian banking system is among the most stable ones in Europe and this is mostly due to our good financiers. Amid a crisis, we need unorthodox solutions inspired by patriots like Burov."
